New Delhi : In a press conference held in New Delhi, Union Minister Smriti Irani addressed the media regarding a significant judgement involving Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia. Irani highlighted that the Delhi High Court’s observations have brought to light serious allegations against Sisodia.

“The Delhi High Court, prima facie, finds the case of corruption against Manish Sisodia credible. The court acknowledges that corruption to the tune of ₹100 crores has been committed by Manish Sisodia in this scam,” Irani stated. She emphasized that the court’s observations indicate a substantial involvement of Sisodia in corrupt activities.

Irani further pointed out that the court has accepted evidence suggesting that Manish Sisodia has destroyed evidence related to the case. “The court has also noted that Sisodia, leveraging his position in the Aam Aadmi Party has the capacity to pressurize witnesses who wish to come forward with information,” Irani added.

Appealing to the citizens of Delhi, Irani urged them to take note of these serious observations made by the Delhi High Court. “I appeal to all citizens to read these substantial observations about the corruption involving Manish Sisodia. Understand how evidence has been systematically destroyed.” she said.

Irani criticized the Aam Aadmi Party, stating that the party members, who initially presented themselves as agents of change, have ultimately become “looters of the treasury of the people.”
