Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Chandrababu Naidu Discuss Implementation of New Criminal Laws in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi | Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, held a review meeting in New Delhi with the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu. The meeting was focused on the implementation of the three new criminal laws in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

In the meeting, senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Andhra Pradesh state government also participated. Shri Amit Shah directed officials for the quick and effective implementation of these new laws, which are part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mission to deliver timely and flawless justice to every citizen.

In a post on social media platform X, Shri Amit Shah said:  “Chaired a meeting to review the implementation of three new criminal laws in Andhra Pradesh along with CM Shri @ncbn Ji and senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the state government.

Directed their swift execution, making Modi Ji’s mission of delivering the constitutional guarantees of timely and flawless justice to the people a reality. Also, emphasized the need for framing charges and filing chargesheets within the timeframe and asked to continuously monitor the rollout of technology for prompt delivery of justice.”

During the meeting, Shri Amit Shah advised that the Chief Minister should personally review the status of implementation once every month. The Chief Secretary should review it every fortnight and the Home Secretary along with the Director General of Police should do a weekly review.

Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu thanked Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for his strong leadership. He appreciated the efforts being made to transform India’s criminal justice system through the new laws.
