Union Health Minister Launches AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre for Integrated Health Research at AIIMS

New Delhi | Today, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated the AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre for Integrated Health Research at AIIMS, marking a significant milestone in collaborative healthcare initiatives. The launch ceremony also witnessed the announcement of impactful joint ventures between the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of AYUSH, including a Multicentre clinical trial on Anaemia and the introduction of Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) for AYUSH healthcare facilities.

In his address, Dr Mandaviya emphasized the importance of collaborative research in AYUSH, highlighting its role in bridging the gap between traditional knowledge and modern scientific research. He underscored the cultural significance of Ayurveda and its continued relevance in everyday healthcare practices. The strategic collaboration aims to advance Integrative Health Research, blending traditional AYUSH practices with modern medical science, positioning India as a leader in holistic healthcare innovations.

Commending the Ministry of AYUSH for its decade-long journey marked by remarkable initiatives and achievements, Dr Mandaviya urged students to draw inspiration from ancient scriptures and embrace traditional practices with pride.
