Rahul Gandhi Urges Centre to Announce Special Relief Package for Flood-Hit States

New Delhi | Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi has expressed deep concern over the widespread destruction caused by floods in several northern states of India. In his social media message, he said that people of Punjab have suffered heavy losses due to floods, and the situation is equally serious in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Rahul Gandhi said it is very painful to see families struggling to save their children and loved ones in these difficult times. He reminded that it is the duty of the Government of India to protect its citizens in such disasters and stand with them in their hour of need.

He strongly urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government to immediately prepare and announce a special relief package for the affected states. Gandhi emphasized that urgent assistance is needed not only for rebuilding damaged homes and infrastructure but also for providing safety and basic necessities to the people.

Rahul Gandhi’s message has highlighted the urgent need for the government to act with sensitivity and responsibility. At a time when thousands of families are suffering due to natural calamities, he said that quick relief and proper protection can bring hope to the victims. The appeal from the Leader of Opposition is seen as a call to put politics aside and give priority to saving lives and supporting the people in distress.
