Rahul Gandhi in Srinagar: Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Meets Victims at Army Hospital and Stands with Families

Srinagar | Leader of Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi has reached Srinagar and visited the Army Hospital at Badamibagh Cantonment. He met the families and victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam and enquired about their well-being.
Rahul Gandhi spoke with the injured and expressed his deep sorrow over the incident. He called the attack a terrible tragedy and said it was an attack on humanity. He said this shameful act was meant to break the love and brotherhood among people, but the nation will never let hate win.
“The whole country is united against terrorism,” said Rahul Gandhi. “We have to stay strong and united to defeat the forces of hatred and terror.”

Rahul Gandhi also met the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Omar Abdullah, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha and local Congress leaders, workers and citizens in Srinagar. He said both the CM and LG briefed him about the incident and that he assured them of full support from the Congress party.
Shri K. C. Venugopal, General Secretary of the AICC, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and AICC General Secretary in-charge of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, along with other leaders, were present with Shri Rahul Gandhi in Srinagar.
Rahul Gandhi said he came to understand the situation and to show his support. He added, “My love and affection are with those who lost their family members. The whole nation stands with them.”
He also shared that the Opposition had a meeting with the Government and all parties condemned the terror attack. He said they assured full support for any action taken by the Government.

Rahul Gandhi expressed concern about some people targeting Kashmiri citizens and said, “It’s very sad to see my brothers and sisters being attacked. We must not allow this. We should stand united and fight these hateful forces.”
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Srinagar has sent a strong message of unity and peace. His words brought comfort to the victim families and reminded the country that in times of pain, we must come together with love and courage. The Congress party has assured full support to the government and the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The fight against terrorism is not of one party or one region—it is a fight of the whole nation. Together, we will stand strong and defeat hatred.
