Keralam | Amid the high-voltage election campaign, senior leaders from major political parties are reaching out to voters with their promises and vision for the state. In this regard, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, General Secretary of Indian National Congress and MP from Wayanad, has been actively campaigning in different parts of Kerala, addressing public gatherings and highlighting the agenda of the United Democratic Front, while urging people to support a change in leadership for better governance and development.

While addressing the gathering at Eranad, she strongly praised her brother Rahul Gandhi, calling him one of the most courageous leaders in the country. She said that Rahul Gandhi always stands for truth and what is right without fear.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asked the people important questions about leadership. She said whether people want courageous leaders or cowardly leaders. She also asked if people prefer compassionate leaders who listen to them, understand their problems, and allow them to protest and ask questions, or leaders who cannot face even small criticism.

Speaking about the problems faced by the people, she said that at every step people are facing corruption and indifference. She pointed out that when people demand better wages, their protests are suppressed. When they ask for better job opportunities, no action is taken. She added that people’s struggles are increasing, but there is no one to support or fight for them.

She urged the people to use this opportunity to bring change. She said this is the time to show India and the world that such kind of leadership is not acceptable. She also called upon the people to work towards building a better future for their children and for Keralam.

While addressing the gathering in Thiruvambady, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted the key five guarantees of the United Democratic Front (UDF). She announced that the UDF promises free bus travel for every woman in Kerala and ₹1,000 per month support for every girl going to college. She also said that welfare pensions will be increased to ₹3,000, along with the creation of a dedicated ministry for senior citizens. Further, she promised interest-free loans of ₹5 lakh for every young person who wants to start a business. She added that every household will receive ₹25 lakh health insurance coverage under a scheme named after former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
