Assam | In the run-up to the Assam Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a tea garden in Assam and interacted with tea garden workers in Dibrugarh.

At the Manohari Tea Garden in Dibrugarh, the Prime Minister was seen plucking fresh tea leaves along with the workers, especially women employees. This gesture highlighted his strong connection with the tea-tribe community of the state and also reflected his early life as a tea seller.

During his visit, PM Modi met a tea garden family and appreciated their hard work and dedication. He said that the efforts of tea garden workers have brought pride to Assam and contributed to India’s recognition across the world.

Sharing his experience on X, the Prime Minister said that tea is the soul of Assam and that tea from the state has reached across the globe. He described his interaction with the women workers as a memorable experience.
