Mandya | Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira at Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri in Karnataka, where he addressed a large gathering and highlighted India’s rich cultural heritage while giving important messages on development, environment, health and social responsibility.

While addressing, the Prime Minister said that India is a vibrant civilisation that has been thriving for thousands of years. He highlighted that very few countries in the world have traditions that have continued without interruption for such a long time.

He said that in Indian society, great personalities have always emerged from time to time who not only provided spiritual guidance but also lived among the people. These leaders understood the problems of the common people, shared their happiness and sorrows and guided society to overcome difficulties and challenges.

During his speech, the Prime Minister made nine important appeals to the people of the country for building a better future.

His first appeal was to save water and ensure its proper management for the coming generations.

His second appeal was about protecting nature and planting trees. Referring to the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, he said that millions of people have planted trees in the name of their mothers and encouraged others to do the same while taking a pledge to protect Mother Earth.

His third appeal focused on cleanliness. He said maintaining cleanliness in religious places, public areas, villages, and cities is the responsibility of every citizen.

His fourth appeal was related to promoting Swadeshi and self-reliance by encouraging people to use Indian-made products and support local industries.

His fifth appeal encouraged people to explore the beauty of the country, travel within India, and promote domestic tourism.

His sixth appeal was directed at farmers, urging them to move towards natural farming methods for sustainable agriculture.

His seventh appeal highlighted the importance of healthy eating habits. He warned that obesity is becoming a major challenge and advised people to reduce oil consumption in their food by at least 10 percent.

His eighth appeal was about adopting yoga, sports, and fitness as a regular part of daily life.

His ninth appeal emphasised the spirit of service, urging citizens to help others and contribute to society.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon citizens to actively participate in nation-building by following these nine appeals in their daily lives. He said that collective efforts, social responsibility and a spirit of service will play a key role in strengthening society and accelerating development. He expressed confidence that with unity and determination, the vision of a developed Karnataka and a “Viksit Bharat” will soon become a reality.
