PM Modi Attends Centenary Celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Says India Is Moving Forward at a New Pace

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in New Delhi and addressed students, alumni and distinguished guests gathered for the historic occasion.

PM Modi said the centenary celebration was a historic moment not only for SRCC but also for India’s education sector, as multiple generations associated with the institution had come together. He paid tribute to the founder of the institution, Shri Ram ji, and praised his vision.

“Over the years, this institution has given generations of students the opportunity to learn, grow and make a difference,” the Prime Minister said.

Highlighting India’s economic progress, PM Modi said the country has moved “from policy paralysis to policy dynamism” and has come a long way in its development journey. He said India’s growth of 7.8 per cent amid global uncertainty reflects the strength of the Indian economy.

The Prime Minister said India is moving forward at a new pace and that many developments which earlier took decades are now being achieved within a few years.

“Together, 140 crore Indians will make India both Viksit and Aatmanirbhar,” PM Modi said, expressing confidence in India’s journey towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation.

PM Modi also spoke about the growing global role of Indian businesses and professionals. He said that if Indians can lead some of the world’s top companies, Indian companies can also emerge as global leaders.

“If Indians can lead the world’s top companies, Indian companies can lead the world too. It is all possible,” he said.

Earlier, PM Modi also travelled by metro while going to and returning from the SRCC programme. Sharing glimpses of his metro journey on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Metro moments… On the way to the SRCC programme and back.”
