Bengaluru | The Karnataka High Court has dismissed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s challenge against Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s decision to allow his prosecution in the alleged MUDA land scam case.

Addressing the media at his home office, ‘Krishna’, Siddaramaiah responded to the court’s verdict. He stated, “Today, the High Court passed an order. I have seen the news but need to review the judgment in detail. Once I do that, I will respond both legally and politically.”

He emphasized the need to discuss the next steps with legal experts, his cabinet colleagues and party leadership before deciding on any legal actions.

Siddaramaiah also accused the BJP of attempting to undermine his government through financial means and political maneuvering. “They have not succeeded,” he claimed. “I am not afraid of the conspiracies hatched by the BJP and JDS because the people of Karnataka stand with our party and government.”

He added, “Despite their attempts to destabilize us, the people have given us a clear mandate. The Congress party has the absolute majority this time. The BJP is consistently against social justice and the welfare of the poor. They opposed our previous pro-poor programs and continue to challenge our current initiatives of guarantees.”

Siddaramaiah concluded by asserting that the BJP is trying to weaken opposition governments across the country, but in Karnataka, the support for his administration remains strong. “The people are united with us, as are my cabinet colleagues, party leaders and all our MPs and MLAs,” he stated confidently.
