Karnataka Government Announces Irfan Razack of Prestige Group as Karnataka Rajyotsava Award 2024 Recipient

Bengaluru : The Karnataka Government has announced that Irfan Razack, Chairman & Managing Director of Prestige Group, is one of the recipients of the prestigious Karnataka Rajyotsava Award for 2024.

The Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, the second highest civilian awards, are conferred annually by the Karnataka government on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, marked on November 1.

Mr. Irfan Razack, with nearly five decades of rich experience in the retail and real estate industry, guides Prestige Group with keen business insight and strategic vision. He places the highest priority on ethical business practices. Known for his visionary approach, he is a real estate icon who has played a crucial role in the success of Prestige Group. Mr. Razack’s creativity and insight have helped the company develop aesthetically appealing and marketable real estate projects.

Mr. Irfan Razack is widely recognized as a leading authority in the Indian real estate industry. Throughout his illustrious career, he has garnered numerous prestigious awards and accolades. His achievements include being named a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, receiving the Real Estate Professional of the Year award, and being honored with the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Memorial Award for his significant contributions to Karnataka’s development. Mr. Razack has also been celebrated as one of the Best CEOs in Asia and has consistently been acknowledged for his excellence in real estate, customer service and ethical business practices.

A business leader with a philanthropic heart, Mr. Irfan Razack supports numerous CSR initiatives. As a former President of Rotary Midtown, Bengaluru, he remains actively involved in its activities and is a Paul Harris Fellow. In 2015, he was inducted into the Arch C. Klumph Society, a special fellowship by the Rotary Foundation. He has also served as Honorary Secretary of the Al-Ameen Educational Society for 21 years.

Mr. Razack’s commitment to society led to the establishment of the ‘Prestige Citizen Extraordinaire Award’ in collaboration with Rotary Midtown, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to Bangalore. Notable recipients include Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy, Dr. Devi Shetty, Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Dr. B. Ramana Rao. His passion for education inspired the ‘Educate India Foundation,’ through which he co-founded Inventure Academy, a leading K-12 International School in Bangalore.

Mr. Razack has held several prominent positions, including President of the Bengaluru Commercial Association (BCA), President of KOAPA (now CREDAI) for five years and Chairman of CREDAI (National) for two years until March 2017. He is also a sought-after panelist for business and real estate discussions on leading television channels.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore and has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the St. Joseph’s Old Boys Association. Additionally, he has been recognized by the United Nations University International’s Leadership Academy (UNU/ILA) in Jordan.
