Bengaluru | The Jamiat Ulama-i-Karnataka has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Bharthinagar police station, Bengaluru, against Swami Yati Narsinghanand. The FIR alleges that he made objectionable and derogatory comments against Islam and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) during a speech at Hindi Bhawan in Ghaziabad’s Lohia Nagar on September 29.

A delegation led by Vice-president Maulana Mohammad ZainulAbideen, Treasurer Mohammed Tafheem Maroof and Mohammed Rizvan Badar presented the facts and filed the FIR. In his speech, Yati Narsinghanand used inflammatory words against Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), aiming to stoke communal tensions and incite the Muslim community, thereby endangering the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.

The Jamiat Ulama has observed an increase in hate speeches targeting revered personalities of all religions. They questioned the direction the nation is heading towards and emphasized the need to end such harmful practices. With the aim of dissuading individuals from any religion from hurting the religious sentiments of others, the Jamiat Ulama-i-Karnataka has filed this FIR under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The organization hopes that the authorities will take appropriate action against this hate monger and put an end to this dangerous trend.
