Jagadish Shettar Rejoins BJP, Cites Faith in Modi’s Leadership and National Interest

New Delhi | In a significant political move, former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has announced his rejoining of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a press conference held earlier today. Shettar, who had previously shifted allegiance to the Congress Party, cited a multitude of reasons for his return to the BJP fold.

During his press conference, Shettar expressed gratitude towards the BJP for entrusting him with significant responsibilities in the past. He was swayed by the persistent calls from BJP leaders and grassroots workers in Karnataka urging him to come back to the party.

Highlighting his faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shettar emphasized the transformative changes witnessed in India under Modi’s tenure. He praised Modi’s efforts in strengthening the country both domestically and on the international stage, citing India’s enhanced global stature during the past decade.

Expressing his desire to contribute to the nation’s progress under Modi’s leadership, Shettar reiterated that he want to see again Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India. He stated that his decision to rejoin the BJP was driven by a steadfast commitment to bolstering India’s position on the world stage.

While acknowledging his tenure within the Congress party, Shettar extended gratitude towards KPCC President & Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the opportunities and respect accorded to him during his time with the party. He thanked them for their gesture.

Shettar’s return to the BJP is expected to bolster the party’s presence in Karnataka and further consolidate its position ahead of the forthcoming political developments.
