Governor of Karnataka Shri Thawarchand Gehlot tested positive for Covid 19

Bengaluru : In a Press Note from the Special Secretary to Governor, Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru. It has been stated that “Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Shri Thawarchand Gehlot has been tested positive for Corona. He is being continuously monitored and his health is stable. Presently, he is being quarantined at residence. The schedule programmes / appointments stands cancelled till further intimation.” R. Prabhu Shankar, Special Secretary to Governor said in a Press Note.

Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri Siddaramaiah in his message said that “I wish Honourable Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot a speedy recovery who is infected with Corona.”

According to the ‘COVID 19 – MEDIA BULLETIN’ which was released on 08th January 2024 by the  Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka. It has been stated that last 24 hours – – Total Positive Patients reported = 279, Total Discharged = 235, Total Deaths = 3 and Total Active Patients = 1222.
