Bengaluru – Dr. Rezwan Razack, a well-known numismatist and the Co-Founder & Joint Managing Director of the Prestige Group, has received a rare international honour. He has been inducted into the prestigious “Hall of Fame” by the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) for the year 2023.

Dr. Rezwan Razack, who also serves as the Chairman of the IBNS India Chapter, has become the first Asian and the first Indian to receive this recognition since the IBNS was established in 1960. This is a proud moment not just for Dr. Razack but for the entire nation and the numismatic community of India.

The honour was officially communicated through a letter by Mr. Gordon De Totth, General Secretary of IBNS, from Perth, Western Australia. In the letter, Mr. De Totth wrote: “Dear Rezwan, I have the pleasure to inform you that you have been elected to the IBNS Hall of Fame for 2023. Please find enclosed your certificate and label pin.”

This honour is seen as another feather in the cap of Dr. Rezwan Razack, who has already made a big name in the field of currency collection. Recently, he was also awarded the 60th Anniversary Medal by IBNS for his valuable contribution to the field of banknote collecting. Mrs. Pam West, President of IBNS, praised Dr. Rezwan Razack’s dedication and long-term support, saying that the medal is a recognition of all the hard work he has done for the hobby.

Dr. Rezwan Razack is highly respected in the world of numismatics for his efforts in preserving and promoting the history of Indian paper money. His well-wishers on social media expressed their happiness, calling it a moment of great pride for India. Many also hoped that his achievements would one day be recognised with a Padma Award or even other National Awards.
