New Delhi : During the ongoing winter session, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha addressed Youth Congress activists at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi amid their protest against the suspension of 141 MPs by the BJP Government.

In his address to the Youth Congress protest, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain expressed gratitude to all Youth Congress members on behalf of the suspended parliamentarians. He remarked, “Today, you all know how Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are attempting to govern our Parliament, putting an end to any form of discussion. They seem to avoid any debate on proposed bills.”

Dr. Hussain highlighted the past few years, stating, “For the past two to three years, you have witnessed the introduction of controversial laws, leading to widespread farmer protests across the country. After 14 months of protest, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had to yield. The government does not seem to welcome any discussion or debate in Parliament, which we consider the temple of democracy. They aim for an opposition-free Parliament.”

“The 141 parliamentarians consistently demanded Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement on the security breach in Parliament. They were merely seeking a statement but were suspended. Interestingly, the BJP MP involved in issuing passes to the miscreants was not suspended. MPs from Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha seeking accountability from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are the ones facing suspension,” he added.

Dr. Hussain further commented, “We find ourselves unable to question in Parliament on critical issues such as Kashmir, Adani, farmers, Manipur, etc. They are attempting to stifle our voices, but this is not feasible. Narendra Modi has adopted authoritarian behavior.”

Addressing the future, he emphasized, “The upcoming Lok Sabha elections are not too far. We all need to unite, standing against this government. Together, we must fight and secure victory.”

After addressing the youth congress at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain interacted  with Dr. B R Abdul Wajid, Editor in Chief, The Deccan Front and said that “They want to suspend everyone and run a dictatorship by removing everyone from the house, this won’t work out in a democracy. The government wants an “Opposition Mukt” Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, which means they want to pass their bills without any discussion. It is a betrayal of parliamentary democracy.” Naseer Hussain said.
