Beginning the interaction from Coimbatore, the Prime Minister said that the energy and curiosity of students from Tamil Nadu had deeply impressed him. Greeting them with “Vanakkam”, he interacted with the students in a friendly and informal manner. Students shared their excitement, saying they never expected such a simple and down-to-earth interaction. One student said that seeing the Prime Minister in person gave them goosebumps.
Speaking about Pariksha Pe Charcha, Shri Modi said that for many years he has been interacting with students of Class 10 and 12 and that the programme is a learning experience for him rather than a teaching one. Responding to a student’s question on startups, he advised students to first understand what they truly want to do, whether it is innovation in technology or finding practical solutions like drones or electricity systems. He encouraged students to form small teams with friends who have skills in technology or finance.

The Prime Minister said there is no age limit to start a startup and even small ventures can make a big impact. He suggested visiting existing startups, preparing a simple project report and presenting it honestly as a school project. He added that this approach will help students receive guidance and gradually gain valuable knowledge.
Replying to a question on whether motivation or discipline is more important for success, Shri Modi said that both are essential in life. He explained that inspiration without discipline has little value. Using the example of a farmer, he said that even if one is inspired by another’s success, without proper preparation and discipline, results will not come. He added that discipline is indispensable, while motivation enhances it and without discipline, inspiration can lead to disappointment.

Addressing concerns related to Artificial Intelligence, the Prime Minister said that every era has faced fear with new technologies, whether computers or mobile phones. He said there is no need to fear AI but cautioned that technology should not control human life. He stressed that AI should be used for guidance and value addition, not as a substitute for learning. He added that while the nature of jobs keeps changing over time, progress continues when people understand technology and use it wisely.
During the interaction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke on several important topics, including the resolution towards building a Viksit Bharat. He shared guidance on travel, staying focused, and maintaining balance between studies and sports. The Prime Minister stressed the need to protect the environment and shared valuable leadership insights. He also spoke about development in Gujarat’s tribal areas, choosing the right career path, and highlighted the important role of teachers and tribal youth in nation-building. He further advised students on following a healthy diet and lifestyle, dealing with the pressure of comparison, and most importantly, believing in oneself.
