Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju Offers Chadar at Ajmer Sharif on Behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Ajmer, Rajasthan : On behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Minority Affairs  Kiren Rijiju offered a chadar and flowers at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the occasion of the 814th Urs of Khwaja Garib Nawaz. He prayed for peace, harmony and the well-being of the nation.

Speaking to the media at the Mehfil Khana of the Dargah, Shri Rijiju said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the Central Government is working with the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”

Kiren Rijiju said that people from different communities in India have lived together with peace for centuries. He added that a few people try to disturb the harmony, but they should understand that India is one, and we stand united. He also said that Indian democracy is strong and gives every citizen the freedom to express their views – something not available in many other countries.

Shri Rijiju said, “Whenever I come here, I find peace. I have prayed for the peace and well-being of the nation on behalf of the Government of India. I feel fortunate to visit this holy place.”

The Union Minister also said that the government will give priority to the expansion of facilities and development work in the Dargah area. He informed that, considering the historical importance of the Dargah, new development works will begin soon. The Ministry will coordinate with the Dargah Management Committee, the Rajasthan Government, and the local administration to improve facilities for pilgrims and ensure better services for all visitors.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Bhagirath Choudhary and Rajasthan Water Resources Minister Shri Suresh Rawat were also present on this occasion.

With the offering of prayers and the government’s commitment to improving facilities at the Dargah, the visit highlighted the message of unity, peace and respect for all faiths. The presence of senior leaders and officials also showed the Centre’s continued efforts to strengthen harmony and ensure better services for pilgrims at one of the country’s most revered spiritual sites.
