Bihar: As the assembly elections in Bihar are approaching and the Election Commission has announced dates for two phases, political campaigning has picked up full pace across the state. Today, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, addressed a massive public gathering in Nalanda, Bihar.
While addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi said that wherever he goes across India, he finds hardworking people from Bihar contributing to the development of other cities. He remarked, “People from Bihar have built places like Dubai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad etc., with their blood and sweat. Then what is lacking in Bihar that their energy and capability are not used to build Bihar itself?”
Targeting the state government, Rahul Gandhi alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s remote control is in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “The Bihar government is not run by Nitish Kumar but by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.” Rahul also claimed that Nitish Kumar’s talk of transforming Bihar is false, as people still struggle for quality education and healthcare. He pointed out that the long queues of patients from Bihar at AIIMS Delhi reflect the poor state of hospitals in Bihar.

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi said that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, though a woman, had more courage than Modi. He said, “In 1971, Indira Gandhi did not fear America. But Narendra Modi is cowardly and afraid to face world leaders like Trump.” He also alleged that Modi stopped Operation Sindoor under pressure from former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Rahul Gandhi further said that India’s youth should be manufacturing phones labeled ‘Made in Bihar’ instead of ‘Made in China’. “We want Chinese youth to use phones made in Bihar, but Modi cannot make this happen because he has no courage,” he added.

As the assembly elections in Bihar draw near, political heat is rising with strong words and promises from every side. Rahul Gandhi’s fiery speech in Nalanda has added more energy to the campaign trail. With both the ruling alliance and the opposition making big claims, the people of Bihar now wait to decide their future. The big question remains — who will form the next government in Bihar ?
