Bengaluru – Gaffar Baig, Former General Secretary of the Minority Department, Bengaluru Urban District Congress Committee, and a resident of Mahadevpura Assembly Constituency, has strongly supported Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, after his powerful press conference in New Delhi exposing alleged large-scale vote theft during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Rahul Gandhi at his press conference in New Delhi presented detailed visual evidence on LED slides, focusing particularly on the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha seat, where Congress candidate Mansoor Ali Khan narrowly lost to BJP’s PC Mohan. Rahul Gandhi claimed that in Mahadevpura alone, one lakh votes were stolen. He listed five methods of this alleged “vote chori”: duplicate voters, fake or invalid addresses, bulk voters at a single address, invalid photos, and misuse of Form 6.

Gaffar Baig, who worked tirelessly as a Congress karyakarta for Mansoor Ali Khan during the Lok Sabha elections, told the media, “I was confident that Mansoor Ali Khan would win by over 50,000 votes. I visited all the assembly constituencies in Bangalore Central and found Mansoor to be a popular, educated, and humble leader who connected with everyone. He campaigned day and night, meeting people across the constituency. After the results, I was shocked to see the Mahadevpura figures.”
Gaffar Baig also mentioned that the Congress Party has launched a campaign urging citizens to “register” against ‘vote chori’.
Calling for public participation in the campaign, Rahul Gandhi urged people to support the demand by visiting the website votechori.in/ecdemand or by giving a missed call to 9650003420.
