Prime Minister Narendra Modi Honoured with Cyprus’s Highest Award, Dedicates it to 140 Crore Indians

Nicosia (Cyprus) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honoured with the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, the highest civilian award of Cyprus. The President of Cyprus, H.E. Nikos Christodoulides, presented the award during an official ceremony.

While receiving the honour, Prime Minister Modi said he accepted it on behalf of the 140 crore people of India. He thanked the President, the Government, and the people of Cyprus for this prestigious recognition.

PM Modi dedicated the award to the strong and friendly relationship between India and Cyprus, which is based on shared values and mutual trust. He said that the honour also represents India’s ancient philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which means “The world is one family.”

He added that the award is not just a personal achievement, but a symbol of the deep bond between the two nations. He expressed hope that India and Cyprus will continue to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity.
