Prime Minister Narendra Modi Urges Citizens to Participate in Padma Awards Nomination Process

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on the people of India to actively participate in the nomination process for the prestigious Padma Awards. In a recent post on X, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of these awards in recognizing grassroots heroes whose life stories inspire many.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi stated, “Over the last decade, we have honoured countless grassroots level heroes with the #PeoplesPadma. The life journeys of the awardees have motivated countless people. Their grit and tenacity are clearly visible in their rich work. In the spirit of making the system more transparent and participative, our Government has been inviting the people to nominate others for various Padma awards.”

The Prime Minister expressed his happiness about the significant number of nominations already received. He emphasized the importance of this participative approach and encouraged more people to nominate deserving individuals for the Padma Awards. The last date for nominations is the 15th of this month.

He urged the citizens to visit the official awards website, https://awards.gov.in, to submit their nominations and help in recognizing the unsung heroes of India.

This call to action by Prime Minister Modi aims to make the Padma Awards more inclusive and ensure that the contributions of ordinary yet extraordinary individuals are celebrated on a national platform.
